Seeing bottlenose dolphins in their natural habitat is a magical experience. Mwnt in Ceredigion is one of the best places to spot them in Wales, often seen swimming, playing and feeding in the bay below.
This spectacular close-up video was captured by Janet Baxter photography on a Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre survey trip at Mwnt last week.
I wasn't sure what to expect from a trip to Wales, England's neighbor a fellow country in the United Kingdom. Turns out, WALES IS AWESOME. It was a quick long weekend trip, and I found myself wishing we could stay longer. We just skimmed the surface on things to do there, though what we did experience was pretty epic.
We explored as much of North Wales as possible, starting the weekend off in Portmeirion, which is home to Festival No. 6 -- a music, poetry, art and food festival in the woods! It was awesome.
The next day we went to Zip World and adventured in the outdoors: zip-lining and going on an alpine coaster! Both were exhilarating and a ton of fun. We closed out the trip in Llandudno, a quaint beach town, before hopping a train back down to London.
The trip was awesome, we highly recommend you go. On top of it all, the Welsh people we met were very kind and clearly proud of their country, which is always cool to see.
